About Me
Michelle McCoy, M.of Ed.
Master IEP Coach & Special Educator Michelle started off her teaching career teaching Physical Education. When her oldest daughter was 6 years old she questioned her progression in first grade. She brought up her concerns to the school and was brushed aside. She knew something wasn’t quite right. After that, she changed schools and was able to get the help she needed. Her daughter was diagnosed with a learning disorder and received services to support her learning. Because of her experience with her daughter, she sought license in special education and vowed to never brush off a parent and ensure every child she works will receives the best possible education for their unique needs. Not only did Michelle sit on the teacher side of the IEP table, but she is a parent of four awesome kids, three which have disabilities ranging from ADHD, visual impairments, and a learning disorder. Today, Michelle teachers students virtually all around the county, writes and coordinates IEP meetings for school districts, and supports families, teachers, and schools as they work toward solutions to providing the best possible educational outcomes for their students. |
